Getting it Right with Copyright

Copyright symbol

Copyright can be a complicated subject. Most family historians want to share their discoveries and stories with others, either online or as printed publications. The illustrations and text that we would like to use in this can raise issues relating to copyright. Also, we may own the copyright of items such as family photographs and want to control whether and how they are used by others.

Fortunately, help is at hand.

The website of Naomi Korn's copyright consultancy includes these features:

  • A blog that addresses topical matters
  • Links to other resources that you can see free of charge. These are useful to individuals and organisations that own copyrights or who wish to use material that is - or may be - subject to copyright.

The consultancy is also able to provide relevant training services.
