FamilySearch looks ahead

FamilySearch in 2017

FamilySearch is the world's largest free-of-charge family history website.

Its large range of improvements planned for 2017 offer enhanced help for family historians. Features to be rolled out include:

  • A personalised dashboard providing each person who has a FamilySearch account with customised feeds, notifications and suggestions to take their research to the next stage.
  • New and improved mobile apps
  • Improved searching performance
  • New indexing tools
  • More free historic records

More details of these and other things to help you appear at FamilySearch Blog.

FamilySearch has already made great strides in improving its website and other services. For instance, it now offers 5.57 billion records that can be searched online. You can find out more about recent developments in its review of progress in 2016.
